submental mutterings

March 11, 2010

I'm home.  Sometimes I can't remember when I was in Ottawa.  Except for missing my friends and family, I could leave and not look back.

A continuation of the YESAB mining protest.  YESAB has determined that the project will have significant adverse effects on environmental quality, public health and safety and lifestyle and livelihood of current users of the area, so they recommend that the project not be allowed to proceed.  Of course this is only the first step.  Now we must convince the YTG.

Wonderful weather we are having here in Dawson. The sun sharpens all the other objects, but is still low enough in the sky to take great pictures.

I'm still keeping busy.  Every two weeks I deliver to Klondike Sun to various businesses here in Dawson.  My brief time behind the wheel.

How many times have you told yourself, I should do this...or that.  Well I've been telling myself to put out a spare key, just in case, but didn't.  Until yesterday when I went out the side door to put out the garbage, and closed the door, one of those locks on the handle, and the door locked behind me.

Well I won't tell you how I managed to get into the house.  I just about destroyed the lock trying to force the handle open, and then had to repair it.  So just remember, when you think you should do something...there is usually a reason for doing it.
